SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Justice Court was evacuated on Wednesday after someone found a “suspicious letter” with threats written in it, police said.
Sgt. Greg Wilking with the Salt Lake City Police Department said the courthouse, located at 333 S. 200 East, was evacuated at approximately 2:30 p.m.
Wilking said the courthouse was cleared as a precaution. He wasn’t sure if the letter was dropped off in person or mailed in, or whether the threats were directed at a particular person.
