SALT LAKE CITY — A man was shot in Salt Lake City late Sunday night, police said, and was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Salt Lake City Police Department said officers went to the area of 1050 South and 1500 West at about 11:20 p.m. after reports of gunshots.
Officers at the scene found shell casings, and then a nearby hospital called the police and told them a 20-year-old man had shown up with a gunshot wound. He had since been released, Salt Lake police said.
Police said there was no apparent threat to the public, but detectives were still searching for more details about the shooting.
