SALT LAKE CITY — Sandy Police warned drivers to avoid part of downtown Sandy after a road rage incident escalated into a shooting.
Police requested that members of the public avoid the area of 9800 S. State St. while they investigate the shooting.
Sgt Michael Olsen with the Sandy Police said a window was shot out of a van, but no one was hurt. No one is in custody in relation to the shooting. They also said there was no known threat to any surrounding businesses or schools.
