ESPN: Clippers staff quarantined after positive COVID-19 test in Utah

SALT LAKE CITY — “Several members” of the Los Angeles Clippers support staff are in quarantine after they tested positive for the coronavirus that causes COVID-19.
According to ESPN reporter Adrian Wojnarowski, through contract tracing officials were able to pinpoint that eight staff members attended a New Year’s Eve meal in a “presidential suite at the team hotel.”
The Deseret News reports that Jazz opponents typically stay at the Grand America hotel.

Wojnarowski also reports that none of the people in quarantine are players, coaches, or team management.
Though initially thought to be quarantined in Salt Lake City, Wojnarowski reports that the Clippers staff “left Salt Lake and returned to Los Angeles via sprinter vans to quarantine there.”

The Jazz beat the Clippers 106-100 in their first home game of the season.
How To Prevent the Spread of COVID-19 Coronavirus
COVID-19 coronavirus spreads person to person, similar to the common cold and the flu. So, to prevent it from spreading:
- Wash hands frequently and thoroughly, with soap and water, for at least 20 seconds.
