UDOT adds finishing touches to 6200 South project

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah — Crews from the Utah Department of Transportation say they have a few more things to complete before the 6200 South portion of the Bangerter project is finished. To accomplish this, one left lane will be closed while crews finish building concrete curbs, barriers, and island installations near the ramps.

Bangerter Project
This is all an effort to make Bangerter operate more like a freeway, UDOT said. The agency said they started the multi-year project to support the growing traffic needs of the west side of the valley. The project began at 12600 South, then moved to 10400 South, and is wrapping up at 6200 South.
12600 South
Right now, 12600 South is open for right-turns as well as north and southbound travel. UDOT asks drivers to be aware of changing traffic patterns while crews place barriers and hang signs.
10400 South
Crews will be striping the road and completing traffic signal coordination as soon as Friday, Jan. 14th. UDOT asks drivers to plan for traffic adjustments and also for short delays. Crews will also be working to finish paving and to complete curbs for on- and off-ramps.
