Provo-based band The National Parks to perform at St. George Art Festival

ST. GEORGE, Utah –The National Parks, a Provo-based indie folk-pop band, will perform a free concert at the St. George Art Festival on Friday.
The National Parks’ show will take place March 29 at 7 p.m. According to a press release about the festival, they will play just outside of St. George’s Town Square, on Tabernacle Street.
“We are beyond thrilled to bring a well-known headliner band to the St. George Art Festival, adding even more heart and soul to our event,” wrote Community Arts Manager Peyton Lee in the release.
Who are The National Parks?
The National Parks started in 2012. According to the band’s website, the band consists of four members.
The indie folk-pop band has released five albums. According to their Spotify profile, their music attracts nearly 450,000 monthly listeners.
The National Parks are set to play at Lollapalooza in August. Lollapalooza is a music festival that takes place in Chicago, Illinois each year. Per the festival’s website, it features over 170 performances spread across eight stages.
“Last year, we had the idea of elevating the Art Festival by bringing in a headliner band. The Spazmatics played to an enthusiastic audience on Tabernacle Street, which proved to us that we needed to continue to bring these types of bands here,” Lee said.
The St. George Art Festival
The St. George Art Festival began in 1980 as a way to showcase artists working in the southern Utah city. Now, it features artists from across the United States.
Attendees can experience live performances, art displays, and a variety of foods, according to the festival website.
This year’s festival takes place March 29 and 30 in the St. George Town Square.
