SALT LAKE CITY — All aboard the Date Nite Train, where love meets the tracks. On Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, Front Runner will be having a party on board. It includes Bingo, prizes and entertaining hosts.
“Instead of sitting in traffic or fighting for parking downtown, you can take the Front Runner,” said Christina Sather, Marketing Strategist for Utah Transit Authority.
Not to worry if you don’t have a date for the Valentine’s Date Nite Train. There will be chocolates, Martinelli’s Sparking Cider and even free chapstick to help set the mood.
“If you’re looking for love or looking to catch that spark, this is it,” said Sather.
The Valentine’s Date Nite Train is part of the Fun In Transit Initiative by UTA. It hosts events on the trains to help boost its passenger numbers and cut down on drunk driving. Many people consume alcohol on holidays and events. The Fun In Transit activities provide a fun alternative to driving.
So far, these events have been a big hit. The Jingle Train Karaoke event in December was packed and had rave reviews.
“There were business men getting off work in shirt and tie singing Sweet Caroline at the top of their lungs,” said Sather.
