LOGAN, Utah — Water is leaking from a water mainline near the intersection of 800 N. and 200 E. in Logan, according to city officials.
At about 5:15 p.m. MDT, Logan City Water and Wastewater Manager Joe Hawkes said crews were waiting for utility officials to mark nearby utilities, so as to ensure a safe working environment.
“Once utilities are marked, they’ll dig down and make the repair,” Hawkes said in an email to KSL.
“Based on our available mapping, the leak is likely on a 60-year old 6-inch waterlinem” Hawkes also said.
Logan residents near the area should expect water service to be interrupted until the leak is repaired. Hawkes estimated that crews would finish the repair “later this [Monday] evening.”
