Structure fire closes Main Street in Rush Valley

SALT LAKE CITY — A structure fire on Main Street in Rush Valley has closed Pine Street as crews work to extinguish the fire.

According to Tooele County Sgt. Dane Lerdahl, a few of the surrounding homes have been evacuated while crews work. Crews are also evacuating livestock.

The fire was first reported at around 3:30 p.m. Crews from Rush Valley Fire Department, Tooele County Fire Department, and Stockton City Fire Department responded.

Currently, the cause is unknown. There is no estimated reopening time for Main Street in Rush Valley, per a Facebook post by the Tooele County Sheriff’s Office.
