Paraglider in serious condition after crash at This Is the Place Heritage Park

SALT LAKE CITY — A paraglider was left in serious condition Friday after crashing into a pole at This is the Place Heritage Park while still attached to a parachute and harness.

The Salt Lake City Fire Department said this incident was unrelated to any training activity. Fire paramedics treated the individual at the scene before transporting them to a local hospital in serious condition. No additional details about the cause of the crash were immediately available.
