Deadly crash that killed motorcyclist under investigation by SLCPD

SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City Police Department is investigating a deadly crash that killed a motorcyclist in the Fairpark neighborhood on the evening of April 15.
According to a press release from the SLCPD, the crash happened at 900 W. and 200 N.
Police said they arrived at the scene and found the motorcyclist in critical condition. He was taken to the hospital by paramedics.
The motorcyclist later died, according to SLCPD. No other details about the victim are being released at this time.
Based on initial information, police believe a car was turning left at 200 N. to go south on 900 W. when it collided with the motorcycle.
After the crash, the driver remained on the scene. SLCPD said there is no indication of impairment from the driver at this time.
The entire intersection is closed as SLCPD’s Crime Lab and Collision Analysis Reconstruction begin their investigation, according to the press release.
SLCPD said this crash marked the fifth Salt Lake City traffic-related fatality in 2025.
