Southwest plane blows tire, aborts takeoff at Salt Lake Airport

SALT LAKE CITY — A Southwest plane had to abort takeoff from the Salt Lake City International Airport after blowing a tire on the runway, a spokesperson for the airport said.
The spokesperson said the flight was set to leave for Oakland before the incident occurred. Flight status for the trip shows the plane was supposed to take off at 2:35 p.m., and was delayed until 6:28 p.m.
No other flights at the Salt Lake Airport were delayed, the spokesperson said.
