Woman in critical condition after stabbing in West Valley City

SALT LAKE CITY — On Friday night a woman was taken to the hospital after being stabbed by her ex-husband, police say.

On Friday at approximately 11:00 p.m., West Valley City police responded to a call from a 26-year-old woman who said her 33-year-old ex-husband had stabbed her.

WVC Police Department’s Roxanne Vainuku said officers found the woman with multiple stab wounds and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police then found the ex-husband at his home in Kearns. Vainuku said officers said he was also found with multiple stab wounds that appeared to be self inflicted.
He was also taken to the hospital in critical condition.
