SALT LAKE CITY — One person was arrested and a man was hospitalized after being stabbed on Friday night in Ogden.
Lt. Will Farr with the Ogden Police Department said the stabbing happened around 9:19 p.m. on the 100 block of Porter, where the victim was found with non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital to be treated.
According to a police affidavit, the victim was stabbed in the throat and 35-year-old Darnell Jackson was later arrested for investigation in relation to the stabbing.
The police report said the victim told officers at the hospital that Jackson stabbed him after a confrontation in the victim’s home.
The arrest report said Jackson was found in the house by responding officers as he was attempting to clean up blood.
“(Jackson) was interviewed and post Miranda stated that another unknown individual was the person who stabbed the victim,” the affidavit said.
The arrest report said a third person who was in the home at the time of the stabbing told police that it was just the three of them in residence at the time.
The incident was still under investigation on Saturday, according to Farr.
