Suspect under arrest after motorcyclist hit and killed in Taylorsville

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah — A suspect is in custody after Taylorsville police said they collided with a motorcycle at 5400 S. Warrior Way on Sunday, killing the adult male motorcyclist.

The fatal crash happened just blocks away from another crash that police believe was also caused by the adult male suspect, said Lt. Aaron Cheshire with Taylorsville Police.

The first crash happened 5400 S. Redwood Road. Cheshire said the suspect left that scene.

Then at 5400 S. Warrior Way, police said the suspect collided with a motorcycle driven by an adult male.

Police said that the suspect fled from the scene of the second accident, but that a witnesses followed him. Officers found the suspect near 6200 S. Redwood Road, with help from the witness.

Cheshire said that police are investigatingn whether impairment or alcohol was a factor in the Sunday night crashes.

No other injuries were reported.
