Teen dead after collision with vehicle while riding e-bike in Farmington, police say

FARMINGTON — Police say a teenager has died following a vehicle collision in Farmington on Friday afternoon.
According to Sgt. Adam Hansen with the Farmington Police Department, at approximately 4:34 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of 1525 West and 600 South regarding a vehicle accident involving a 13-year-old male who was riding an e-bike.
Officers arrived on scene and found multiple people giving medical aid to him, including CPR.
When medical personnel arrived, he was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
According to a press release from Farmington PD, “Initial reports indicate the driver was traveling North on 1525 West approaching 600 South when the collision occurred.”
Police confirmed the driver of the vehicle involved cooperated and did not flee the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing.
