3 people shot near Pocatello, suspect dead

SALT LAKE CITY – The person suspected of shooting three people near Pocatello on Friday has died, according to Idaho police.
Multiple officers from different agencies responded to the shooting on Tank Farm Road, around a mile north of Interstate 86. According to Emma Iannacone, public information officer for Bannock County, an emergency call came in at approximately 2:38 p.m. reporting three people had been shot.
The suspect involved in the shooting is dead, and the scene is secure, according to Iannacone. She said there is no longer a threat to the public around 8 p.m.
Police closed Tank Farm Road between Rowland Lane and Siphon Road, according to a press release from the Power County Sheriff’s Office.
The area is fairly remote besides a few businesses and some houses, Iannacone said.
