Man dies from injuries after being hit by vehicle in La Verkin

SALT LAKE CITY — A man was crossing a roadway in La Verkin near 100 South and state Route 9 Saturday night when he was struck and killed by a vehicle.

Officers from the La Verkin Police Department, Hurricane Police Department, and Washington County Sheriff’s Office, along with Hurricane Valley Fire and Rescue, responded to the scene.

The man was transported to St. George Hospital, where police said he died from his injuries.

“Our deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of everyone involved,” the La Verkin Police Department said.
