SALT LAKE CITY — A man was hospitalized in critical condition after the vehicle he was driving rolled and nearly fell into the Jordan River near 1200 W. and North Temple at about 6:50 p.m. on Saturday night.
The Salt Lake City Police Department confirms that it along with Salt Lake City Fire responded to the accident scene on the east side of the Jordan River near 1200 W.
Lt. Steve Wooldridge says the car rolled into a fence on the embankment above the river, and that a single male occupant was injured inside.
It was the Gold Cross Ambulance crew that extricated the man from the badly damaged car.
