Bicyclist killed after being struck by touring bus in Wasatch County

WASATCH COUNTY, Utah — The Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office says a bicyclist was killed Friday after being struck by a touring bus.
According to a news release, the victim was struck as he traveled up Pine Canyon Road, which is a paved mountain road near Midway. The victim is an adult male from Sandy, and the incident occurred around 10 a.m.
The victim was initially listed in critical condition. However, he later passed away at a hospital.
No individuals on the bus were injured.
Pine Canyon Road was closed for a few hours for the investigation.
“We thank all of our first responders, including 911 dispatchers,” a statement read in the release. “For serving so well through these tragic situations.”
