Car crashes into house in Hurricane Sunday morning

HURRICANE, Utah — A car ran into a house in Hurricane Sunday morning, police say.
Hurricane City Police Department responded to a report of a car that had run off the road and into a house at approximately 10:55 a.m.
According to a Facebook post from the HPD, the incident took place near a roundabout located at 700 West 100 North. The 16-year-old driver of a 1996 Ford Thunderbird had driven through the roundabout too fast, according to police. He then overcorrected, causing him to run into the house.
It was initially reported that the driver had fled the scene, but he was present upon the officer’s arrival.
No injuries to the driver or the occupants of the house were reported.
The driver of the vehicle received a few citations before being released to an adult.
