Lehi man charged with 18 crimes after fatal crash near Valley Fair Mall

SALT LAKE CITY — A man under arrest and suspected of hitting and killing a woman in West Valley City is now linked to a road rage shooting in Sandy.
Cesar Perez, age 23, was arrested earlier this month after he allegedly hit and killed a woman while driving a stolen vehicle down a one-way street near Valley Fair Mall.

The Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office has also filed two other cases against the 23-year-old from Lehi. These include a road rage shooting that occurred in early September 2024.
Charging documents state that investigators identified Cesar Perez through a photo lineup. He is also accused of robbing a Salt Lake City Audi dealership at gunpoint.
