MURRAY, Utah — A Murray man is in custody after a standoff with SWAT officers.
Taylor Richards is accused of pointing a rifle at a woman who has a protective order against him. A sworn statement detailed that when a SWAT team approached the man’s motor home he allegedly fired shots out the window.
Richards is also said to have admitted to using mushrooms, ketamine and alcohol. He faces multiple charges of aggravated assault, felony discharge of a firearm and intoxication. Official court documents said there is evidence to suggest Richards would be a danger if or would likely flee if he was released. Therefore the court ordered that Richards be held without bail.
