Man dies in single-vehicle crash early Monday morning

SUMMIT COUNTY — The Utah Highway Patrol says one person died early Monday morning following a one-vehicle crash near Park City.
According to a news release, a black Nissan Armada was heading northbound on SR-224 outside of Park City when it went off the road and struck a traffic sign support pole. The incident occurred at 12:10 a.m.
The only occupant in the vehicle was a 29-year-old male driver, who required extrication from the vehicle.
The UHP says the driver passed away shortly after being transported from the scene.
The UHP also says the vehicle was previously being sought for driving at excessive speeds on Main Street in Park City.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, according to the UHP.
