OGDEN, Utah — Police arrested a man Thursday morning who they believe stole, pawned and re-stole a trailer in Ogden.
A probable cause statement claimed that, on Halloween, Douglas Errett stole a trailer from an Ogden property valued at $8,000.
Ogden Police said Errett took the trailer to Hy and Mike’s pawnshop in Ogden. After receiving $500 from the pawn shop he returned later that night, cut a lock off the back fence, and once again stole the trailer.
Finally, police said, Errett pawned the trailer again in Utah County. He is accused of theft, theft by deception and criminal mischief.
The probable cause statement said Errett admitted to arresting officers that he stole and pawned the trailer and already had a probation and parole warrant at the time of his arrest.
