SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City Police said a 26-year-old man is in custody following connections with the robbery of three financial institutions.

Police said Krishan Singh allegedly committed the three crimes in a period of five days. SLCPD detectives and FBI agents took the suspect into custody Tuesday after he was discovered in the 500 W. 200 South area.

Police said the suspect resisted arrest but was eventually taken into custody.

Law enforcement personnel say the first two alleged robberies occurred on Friday, Oct. 28, just minutes apart.

Police say a Mountain America Credit Union, located at 1715 W. 700 North, reported a man walking into the building and demanding cash at 9:10 a.m. He left before police could arrive.

The second incident occurred at 9:14 a.m. Police said a man walked into the Zions Bank, located at 787 N. Redwood Road, and demanded cash. The man fled the scene before authorities could arrive.

The third incident occurred Tuesday at 12:43 p.m. Police say a Key Bank, located at 1098 S. 300 West reported a robbery.

The suspect has been booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of two counts of aggravated robbery, and for investigation of one count of robbery.
