SLCPD asking for help locating missing 15-year-old girl

SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City police are asking for the public to be on the lookout for a missing 15-year-old girl.

We are looking for Paightyn Jones, 15, who is #missing.

She is approx. 5’6″, 105 pounds.

She is in #SLC for treatment and does not currently have her medication.

Police believe the 15-year-old was last seen in Sugar House with a previously unidentified man. Police made contact with him and said he was cooperating. At this point, police say, he is not a suspect.

The girl was considered at risk as she did not have her medication with her. She has light-brown hair, is 5-foot-6, and weighs 105 pounds.

Police have released a photo of her wearing the shirt she was last seen in. It was a white Hello Kitty T-shirt with cars on it. She also has a tattoo of a heart on her left cheek.

UPDATE: SLCPD said in a message posted to X on Monday that the girl has been found.
