Delivery truck crashed into four parked cars, Salt Lake City Police say

SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City Police say the driver of a commercial-sized delivery truck lost control and crashed into four parked cars Friday afternoon.
Police say the driver was traveling south on 400 West near 450 South when the incident occurred just after 3 p.m.
Cars crashed
Police say a 66-year-old man was pinned under one of the vehicles. After being rescued from the vehicle, police say the man was rushed to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. Since then, however, medical personnel have upgraded the man’s condition to critical but stable.
A second person was also injured in the incident. That person was transported to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
The driver of the truck remained on scene. Police are investigating if the driver may have had a medical episode. Later, the driver was transported by ambulance to an area hospital to be checked out.
Police say the investigation is ongoing. Additionally, police also say no arrests or citations have been made.
