Two people in custody, another is dead after residential shooting in Wyoming

FORT BRIDGER, Wyo. — Two suspects are in custody and one person is dead after a shooting took place at a home near Fort Bridger Rendezvous in Wyoming.

Officers responded to the shooting on Saturday at 5:48 p.m., according to a Facebook post made by the Uinta County Sherriff’s Office. When police got to the residence located east of Fort Bridger Rendezvous, they found a person who had died at the residence.

Police said they arrested two suspects without incident with possible relations to the Wyoming shooting. Officers also believe the shooting was an isolated event with no threat to the Fort Bridger community.

“The Uinta County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank all the agencies who responded to assist,” the Facebook post said. “We extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the victim who lost their life.”

According to police, there is an investigation being conducted under the UCSO. Additionally, all scheduled events in the area will continue as planned.
