Lori Vallow Daybell to be extradited to Arizona, faces two charges

POCATELLO, Idaho — Lori Vallow Daybell will be extradited to Arizona on charges of conspiracy to commit murder after Gov. Brad Little signed an executive agreement.
In Idaho, Vallow Daybell was found guilty of murdering her two youngest children, 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 16-year-old Tylee Ryan, in July of this year. She was also found guilty of conspiring to murder Tammy Daybell, the former wife of her current husband, Chad Daybell.
Chad Daybell awaits trial on the same murder charges.
Judge Steven W. Boyce sentenced Vallow Daybell to life in prison without patrol and she has since been incarcerated at the Pocatello Women’s Correctional Center.
Attorneys for Vallow Daybell requested a new trial, however, the judge denied it.
Judge denies Lori Vallow Daybell request for new trial
Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs sent an executive agreement to extradite Vallow Daybell on Sept. 13, and Gov. Little signed the document on Monday, Oct. 3 according to East Idaho News. Once she is transported to Arizona, she’ll face two additional conspiracy charges to commit murder for the death of Charles Vallow, her fourth husband, and an attempt to kill her former nephew-in-law, Brandon Boudreaux.
According to the agreement, Arizona will pay to transport Vallow Daybell. Furthermore, it says Vallow Daybell can be transferred back and forth between the states of Idaho and Arizona.
East Idaho News said the Idaho Department of Correction does not release information about the movement of residents until it occurs. As of Wednesday afternoon, Vallow Daybell remains incarcerated.
What led to Vallow Daybell’s sentencing
On June 9, 2020, the remains of JJ and Tylee were found on Chad Daybell’s property. The last known sighting of Tylee was on Sept. 8, 2019, and JJ was last seen on Sept. 23, 2019.
Months after their disappearance, Vallow Daybell was arrested in Hawaii. Vallow Daybell and her husband went to Hawaii, allegedly to avoid questioning.
In Feb. 2020, they were taken into custody and extradited to Idaho on two felony counts.
During the trial, the prosecution alleged that Chad and Lori led a religious cult and believed Tylee and JJ were possessed, which led to their deaths.
