UHP identifies woman who died after crash in Layton

LAYTON, Utah — The Utah Highway Patrol has identified a woman who was ejected from a vehicle that crashed in Davis County on Sunday, Sept. 29.

Police said Emma Gordhamer, age 25, from Holladay, Utah, was speeding when she fled from troopers and crashed. She’d been the subject of an “attempt to locate” according to the UHP. 

The pursuit began in Salt Lake County and ended in Davis County, when Gorghamer took the Antelope Drive off-ramp in Layton and crashed. 

According to the DPS, the vehicle Gordhamer was driving rolled after exiting the freeway. 

When her vehicle, a Dodge Caravan, crashed, police said both of the people inside were ejected. 

Gordhamer was the driver and was pronounced dead at the scene. The other occupant, a three-year-old child, was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries.
