PROVO, Utah — Acting out of an abundance of caution, the Provo City School District has announced a two-hour late start schedule for Wednesday, Jan. 10.
According to a press release from the Provo City School District, each school will begin two hours later than it normally does.
The district also said that its transportation department will “utilize below bench pickup locations.”
Buses on the east bench will pick students up at the designated below bench pickup locations 2 hours after their regularly scheduled pickup times.
The Provo City School District urges parents and guardians to practice patience, as buses may be delayed on Wednesday morning.
The district said the delayed start means there will be no half-day kindergarten or preschool.
If a parent or guardian decides to keep their student at home, the district asks that they contact the school to let them know.
