SALT LAKE CITY — A stink bomb prompted an evacuation of Highland High School on Thursday morning.
According to Salt Lake City Fire Department Cpt. Brandt Hancuff, complaints of a possible gas leak at the school came in just after 10 a.m.
“We had two units respond to the to the school and I don’t know how many police units. But no injuries. We didn’t transport or treat anybody,” Hancuff said.
The source of the foul smell was determined to be a stink bomb according to Hancuff.
The students were let back in to the building and classes have resumed as normal.
This is a breaking story and may be updated.
