List of possibile candidates for a U.S. Senate run in Utah is growing

SALT LAKE CITY — Rep. John Curtis, R-Utah, is reportedly very seriously looking at a run to fill the seat currently held by Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah.
The Deseret News reports they spoke with Curtis earlier on Wednesday, and that he said he’s very interested in the opportunity.
#BREAKING: @BradWilsonGOP will get into the Senate race tonight at his campaign kickoff event, while @RepJohnCurtis tells @Deseret he’s “very seriously” looking at it.
In a statement to me, Curtis’ camp said they ran a poll, “the results are very encouraging,” they said.

His campaign manager told KSL NewsRadio that the team has “been in full gear” since Sen. Mitt Romney, R-UT, announced he would not seek a second term as U.S. Senator.
Meanwhile, Utah House Speaker Brad Wilson, who has been rumored to be running, is expected to announce his bid in a speech on Wednesday night.
Riverton Mayor Trent Staggs, who has picked up support from the Utah Fraternal Order of Police has also announced that he’s in the Senate race.
