LISTEN: When does a person consume too much political news?

SALT LAKE CITY — Are Americans tired of the seemingly 24/7 political news cycle?
A poll reported by the Associated Press said that 6 in 10 Americans feel the need to limit the amount of political news they consume, to avoid feeling “overloaded or fatigued.”

KSL at Night co-host and legal analyst Greg Skordas said he also feels fatigued by the constant stream of information coming his way.
“It’s not the way it was before. It seems like 20/30 years ago you’d watch the three or four major networks and you’d get a fairly balanced idea of what the news was,” he said. “But as our society has become polarized, the news channels are trying to chase those groups a bit for their viewership.”
Skordas says many news networks, both on the right and the left, don’t just get the news out. He says if he watches them, it’s to get political commentary, not facts.
