LISTEN: Federal appeals court pauses U.S. election betting

SALT LAKE CITY — Hours after it was legalized, a federal appeals court paused bettings on the outcome of U.S. elections.
The betting started on Sept. 12, the Associated Press reported, when a judge allowed New York startup company Kalshi to make bets on the outcome of the November congressional elections.
Although it started off as a big move, the betting did not last long.
