High wind warning issued in parts of Utah

SALT LAKE CITY — Parts of Utah are in for some strong gusts of wind Monday, as Meteorologists and the National Weather Service issue a high wind warning.
KSL Meteorologist Matthew Johnson said in a tweet Utah’s West Desert could see gusts of up to 60 mph.

Along with this, NWS SLC took to Twitter to report a high chance of strong winds in parts of the state.

According to the NWS SLC, areas such as Southwest Utah and the Millard and Juab Counties can expect winds of up to 60 mph. Along with this it said Utah Valley, Sanpete Valley, Sevier Valley, Bryce Canyon, South Central Utah and Glen Canyon can all expect gusts of up to 50 mph.
The NWS SLC advices residents in the areas of the high wind warning to secure outdoor objects such as garbage cans and trampolines to keep them from blowing away. Additionally, it advices that power outages are possible.
