SALT LAKE CITY — One meteorologist expects a storm to bring valley rain and mountain snow to the Wasatch Front on Monday.
The brunt of the precipitation is expected to reach the Wasatch Front on Monday night, continuing into early Tuesday morning.
According to KSL Meteorologist Matt Johnson, the storm will hit areas of Salt Lake and southward the hardest. The mountains could receive 4-8 inches of snow.
“Not expecting too much in the way of accumulation for the valley floors. There’s maybe a chance, you know, across the benches where we could see some flakes fly,” said Johnson.
Wasatch Front weather later this week
The storm will clear out by Wednesday afternoon according to officials. Then highs will return to the mid-50s.
“This is mainly a southern Wasatch Front all the way down through Central and southern Utah Mountain snowfall event,” said Johnson.
The KSL weather forecast shows a storm-free Halloween with temperatures reaching the upper-50s in the afternoon. Low temperatures will hit the mid-30s Thursday night.
