SALT LAKE CITY — Another winter storm is on the way. It will feel pretty similar to what we had on today but could pack with it a little more snow, adding to our dismal December snow totals.
“The brunt of the storm system is likely moving in late Saturday into Sunday morning,” said KSL Meteorologist Matt Johnson.
With temperatures going up to the high 40s in northern Utah, it will start out as rain on Saturday afternoon. Then, later in the evening it will turn to snow.
Johnson said the winter storm won’t affect much of central and southern Utah.
“It’s mainly Utah County [and] northward. This is mainly on northern Utah’s system.”
In the valleys, we could get up to two inches. And in the mountains, 6 to 12 inches. If you’re traveling, be cautious as road conditions will likely be affected.
WEEKEND STORM: Looks like some showers Saturday with a warm front (valley rain/mtn snow). Then the brunt of the storm Saturday night into Sunday morning, gradually clearing out Sunday afternoon.
