SALT LAKE CITY — Intermountain Health is making it easier than ever to access medical care with the expansion of its on-demand services.
The on-demand services started off with only offering service for birth control. Over time, it grew to include smoking cessation treatments and low-risk medication.
The latest expansion includes services like at-home lab tests for blood work, weight loss medications, hair loss treatments, colon cancer screening kits, motion sickness remedies, and more—all without requiring a subscription fee.

Intermountain Health Operations Director Mason Hilton said on-demand health care has been a convenience to members of the community.
“[It] helps remove some of the barriers that I think we all probably experience, trying to schedule appointments and rearrange schedules and things.”
Hilton said the goal has always been to provide fast and accessible care.
“We can go online, fill out the questionnaire, get the process started anytime of the day. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.”
Intermountain’s on-demand services are available online 24/7, but follow-ups, calls from the pharmacy team, and care coordination are available during regular business hours.
