We realize that while we think we’re trustworthy, it’s hard for you, our audience, to know exactly what we’re doing to be worthy of your trust. So as members of your community, we feel it important to tell you where we’re coming from and why we do what we do.

Our brand promise, which we see every day as we enter the newsroom, reads, “KSL provides leadership that builds up, connects, informs & celebrates Utah’s communities and families.” We take that charge seriously.

However, we also know that not everyone trusts local news organizations. In a 2016 Gallup poll, just 32% of Americans reported having “a great deal” or even “a fair amount” of trust in news media. Here at KSL, we’re committed to doing better than that.

With that in mind, we’ve been taking a look at the transparency of our reporting online and on the air. We’re hoping to help you understand better where our news comes from, how we vet the information we report, what our fact-checking looks like, and even how to get in touch with us when you think we fall short.

We want to hear from you about how you think we’re doing. Feel free to offer anonymous feedback, or to leave your name and contact information if you’re open to a follow-up conversation either by e-mail or phone.

If you’d rather speak directly with someone on our team, you can reach the newsroom anytime at 801-575-6397.

Thanks!

We want to hear from you.
