DPS posted on their website that a grey Tesla was traveling eastbound when it lost control due to “slick” road conditions from a previous rainstorm.
The Tesla collided with a trailer being towed by a Ram 1500, according to DPS.
“As the Tesla was sideways, it was struck on the driver’s side by a white GMC Yukon,” DPS stated.
Utah Highway Patrol said the driver of the Tesla was killed at the scene.
DPS stated the driver of the GMC sustained minor injuries, while the driver of the Yukon was uninjured.
