TOOELE — A man, 35, died after losing control of his car after going at a high rate of speed and causing it to rollover and submerge in a retention pond Saturday night, according to Utah Highway Patrol.

The accident happened while exiting westbound on I-80 in Tooele County.

According to police, the passenger was transported by air ambulance to a local hospital but was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
