WASHINGTON COUNTY — Four schools were released from secure lockdown Tuesday morning after temporarily entering that status earlier on Tuesday.

According to the St. George Police Department, the police received a phone threat to Desert Hills High School.

The two schools on lockdown, with students being held in classrooms and doors locked, are Desert Hills High School and Desert Hills Middle School.

The two other schools where students are free to move about, but the school doors are locked, are Bloomington Hills Elementary School and Bloomington Hills Preschool.

Police asked the schools to be placed on secure alert out of precaution. Police have given no other information at this time.
