SALT LAKE CITY — During a recent gathering of signatures based around repealing Proposition 4, signature verification methods identified 165 names as potentially fraudulent, tied back to a single person, according to Uintah County.

Court documents said Chadwick Kluttz, 40, was charged with 11 counts of forgery, a third-degree felony and 11 counts of unlawfully signing a certificate of nomination sheet.

According to the Vernal Police Department, Kluttz left Utah after police were notified of fraudulent signatures and warrants were issued for his arrest.

He was arrested in North Carolina and Vernal police are in communication with the authorities there to have him return to Vernal to face the charges.
