Motorcyclist dead after being hit by car in West Jordan

WEST JORDAN — A man has died after being hit by a car while riding a motorcycle in West Jordan on Sunday night.

The accident happened at the intersection of Banquet Avenue and Cougar Lane, according to the West Jordan Police Department.

When the police officers got to the scene, they attempted life-saving measures on the motorcyclist, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are still investigating the reason for the crash.

Cougar Lane is closed to northbound and southbound traffic from 6400 South and 6600 South.
