PROVO, Utah — BYU students can start lining up at LaVell Edwards Stadium at 11 p.m. Friday for BYU’s Fox Big Noon Kickoff.

BYU student Trey Talbot says he’ll be there to support the Cougars.

“I’m going to be there as early as I can on Saturday, I think,” said Talbot.

He says he has faith that the Cougars can pull one over on the Wildcats.

“My boy, Parker Kingston is going to have another kick return,” Talbot said. “I bet we win by two touchdowns — at least.”

Charlie Collicker says he’s going for the BYU spirit.

“Just for the atmosphere to see everyone getting hyped for the big game,” said Collicker. “We gotta beat Utah. I’m hoping we win the Big 12, go to the College Football Playoff… maybe we’ll beat Alabama. We’ll see.”

Student Daniel Hall says he wants to go to the broadcast to feel the high energy of the fans.

“It’s my first year, so just the excitement of being here and actually being able to experience it is one of my biggest motivators,” said Hall.

Another student, Bruce, says overall, this is an important game for the Cougars.

“I hope we win, I think we’re going to win,” said Bruce. “Arizona won against Utah. So it’s super important that we win for our game against Utah.”

“I think BYU is the better football team,” said KSL NewsRadio’s BYU Insider Mitch Harper. “They’re the favorite in this contest, but Arizona’s got some physicality on their defensive line, and that’s of note because BYU has a new center this week with the injury to Connor Pay.”

Students are allowed to start lining up at 11 p.m. Friday, with the pregame tailgate starting at 6:30 a.m. Saturday. The Big Noon Kickoff broadcast starts at 8 a.m. on Saturday with kickoff at 2 p.m.

We want to hear from you.
