Introduction

The Children’s Center Utah is pleased to announce its upcoming Ready! Resilient! Utah Early Childhood Mental Health Conference — a statewide convening on early childhood mental health. Taking place on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, in-person at the Mountain America Expo Center in Sandy and online, this full-day event is for all individuals working with or advocating for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and their families.

This year’s conference features nationally recognized keynote speakers, interactive breakout sessions, and opportunities for networking and collaboration with professionals across early childhood, healthcare, education, mental health, and aligned sectors. Licensed attendees can earn CEU and CME credits.

Why we are convening

National research shows that Utah is among a group of states with the highest prevalence of child and adolescent mental health disorders and the highest prevalence of youth with untreated mental health needs. Studies estimate that up to 20% of the 458,000 children birth through eight in Utah could experience mental, emotional, developmental, or behavioral challenges and an alarming 58% of Utah children ages 3-17 with clinically diagnosed mental or behavioral health condition do not receive treatment or counseling.

This important gathering of experts, leaders, advocates, and early childhood care providers will be an inspirational day of professional development and collaboration and will help raise awareness of infant and early childhood mental health challenges within our state. Attendees will explore topics that are timely, practical, and grounded in evidence-based practices.

What makes this year’s conference stand out

In partnership with Intermountain Health, this year’s conference will include a Pediatric Professional Development Track. This tailored track offers healthcare providers a unique opportunity to deepen their understanding of the mental health needs of young children and learn how to integrate mental health support into pediatric care settings.

Whether you are an early childhood educator, therapist, pediatrician, social worker, administrator, policymaker, or champion of Utah’s children, The Children’s Center Utah invites you to gather together in support of children’s mental health. Register today at childrenscenterutah.org/conference.
