Man hospitalized after crash on Interstate 15 near Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY — A man was hospitalized on Tuesday after a crash on northbound Interstate 15 temporarily closed down four of its five lanes.

The crash occurred approximately half a mile in front of the 600 South exit in Salt Lake City shortly before 1:45 p.m.

According to Cpl. Luis Silva with the Utah Highway Patrol, the man was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

Officials were able to move the wreckage to the side of the road and restore the flow of traffic.
