Multi-vehicle crash closes northbound I-15 in South Salt Lake

SALT LAKE CITY — A multi-vehicle crash closed all northbound lanes on one section of Interstate 15 while crews worked to clear the crash off of the roadway Thursday.
Heather Kelly with the KSL NewsRadio traffic center said the crash was on I-15 in South Salt Lake. At one point, traffic was backed up into Midvale.
At least nine cars were seen on traffic cameras to be involved in the crash, according to Kelly.

By 7:05 a.m., northbound lanes were open to drivers, but the transition ramp to go eastbound on Interstate 80 remained closed.
